 FAREWELL MRS ALDERSON

Mrs Alderson popped in today to say goodbye to all of the students. She made a special visit to Room 18 where the children had all made her their own card. Mrs Alderson will certainly be missed.

PROJECT TIME - Super Scientist & Sustainable Home

There are two projects taking place this term. The first is the Super Scientist project, based on a report within the Biological Science area. This is not an experiment or investigation. Students can use power point, posters, charts etc to assist their presentation. Our class presentations will be held in Week 4 of this term as the whole school presentation has been scheduled for Week 6.

The second project is designing and constructing a sustainable home of the future. The children will be given a project booklet to complete their research and design stages of the project. We will have some time to do this in the class. The second part of the project is constructing the model. Most of the model construction will need to take place at home, although, we will schedule some construction days mid-term where the children can bring their model into school and work on them in class.

 YEAR LEVEL CHALLENGE

Congratulations to both Aadidev and Charlotte on their recent efforts with the Year Level Challenge. Aadidev scored 100% and Charlotte was in the Top 5. A wonderful effort from both students. Keep it up!

 DOROTHEA MACKELLAR POETRY

Well done to all of the children who entered a poem into the Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards. Everyone was recognised for their efforts with a Participation Certificate. The quality of the children's poems was absolutely outstanding and I was immensely proud of their efforts.
