MISS DAQUINO

Hello again, Miss Daquino here.

I am delighted to be back in Room 18 for my second professional placement this year. I’m especially looking forward to discovering the wonderful works of Shaun Tan by introducing the children to the text ‘The Rabbits.’ I am eager to work alongside the children as we slowly uncover the deeper meaning this text has to offer. Over the course of my placement (weeks 5-7) the children will be completing a unit of work related to concepts and themes that unravel throughout the text. Exciting weeks ahead for Room 18.

MCs For Graduation

Well done to all of the students who put their hand up to take on the role of being an MC at the Year 6 Graduation. We had close to 20 students who tried out for the role and it was incredibly difficult to narrow it down. Six children from Room 18 were then selected to present on Wednesday afternoon. Good luck to all of you but no matter what happens, everyone who tried out should be very happy about their effort, and also happy for the children who make it.
